Ag Production - Equine Studies 10

Students will learn the basics of operation and care of horses, enhance their knowledge and gain confidence in the skills needed to take care of horses and their facilities.

Students may choose to take either Cow/Calf or Equine studies to earn this credit, but not both.

None. Access to horses and facilities is required.

What Will I Learn?

Students will read, observe, research and carry out hands-on activities.

Due to the potential hazards when dealing with horses, students must have an adult mentor’s permission and willingness to supervise and guide their hands-on activities.
