Kindergarten at
Sask DLC

Enjoy the convenience of learning from home with a high-quality, fully funded Kindergarten education taught by a certified Saskatchewan teacher.

Our online Kindergarten program follows the Ministry of Education’s play-based curriculum and uses a Guided Learning Model, combining live online classes with independent activities. This gives families flexibility while still following a structured schedule.

How does it work?

Students attend daily, half-day live online classes where their teacher helps them develop key letter and number skills through fun and interactive activities. Through these daily interactions, the teacher builds strong relationships with students, keeps them engaged and adapts lessons to support each student’s learning needs.

Our Kindergarten program introduces essential skills that will prepare students for learning in future grades both online or in-person.

Additional learning opportunities suggestions are provided to extend your child’s learning beyond the live sessions, allowing parents to support their their individual learning pace and engagement.

Is there a cost for Kindergarten?

There is no direct cost to families for Kindergarten students taking online courses through Sask DLC. Sask DLC invoices school divisions directly for students registering in online courses. This ensures that the funding provided to local school divisions follows the student, wherever they choose to take their courses.

I love being a part of her learning. It's so neat to watch as she begins to understand new concepts and then uses those concepts or talks about them. We are both really enjoying the Sask DLC experience so far and it's really such a great fit for our family.

Parent Responsibility

As a parent, you play a vital role as a learning mentor at home. While each course is led by a teacher who provides regular online instruction and support, your guidance and encouragement are essential to your child's success.

You can support their learning by accessing their progress at any time through our online portal, helping with goal setting and time management. Regular communication with teachers through Teams calls, email, and parent-teacher-student conferences ensures you stay informed and engaged.

Your hands-on support with schoolwork and projects makes a meaningful difference in their education.
