Registering for Online Learning
Sask DLC is the provincial Kindergarten to Grade 12 online learning provider.
Online learning is available to all students in the province.
K-Grade 12 students and families can choose to study online full-time or Grades 10-12 students can access Sask DLC online learning courses right from their local school.
There is no cost to online learning for provincial students under the age of 22. Local school divisions are invoiced for online learning courses, ensuring funding follows where the student chooses to do their learning.
Please note that Independent and First Nations controlled schools may charge students to take online courses with Sask DLC. Parents of students attending Independent or First Nations controlled schools should check with their school administration to understand their local policy.
Homeschool programs may also charge students to take an online course.
Online learning is also available to young adult (18-21 years old) and adults (age 22 and up). Students over the age of 22 are invoiced directly at a cost of $500/course.
Registration Deadlines and Key Dates
Saskatchewan students taking high school courses with Sask DLC should be aware that there are deadlines for course registration and course dropping that they need to follow.
These deadlines apply to both full-time Sask DLC high school students and part-time online students who are supplementing their in-school experience with a Sask DLC course.

The beginning of the school year or semester is a very busy time and registration forms can take up to five school days to process. Please plan ahead accordingly.
Online Learning Orientation
To best support students transitioning to learn online full-time, Sask DLC has a K-Grade 9 and High School Orientation Course.
These short orientation courses support students by helping to build the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their online courses. They take approximately 3-5 hours to complete and introduce students to concepts including:
- best practices for learning from home
- how to login in to essential technology, Microsoft applications and other resources needed to complete their course work
- how to access online courses, monitor progress and check grades
- how to effectively use course timelines to meet pacing expectations
-how to contact their teacher and Academic Advisor
- important learning skills such as note-taking, research strategies, evaluating credible sources and using artificial intelligence responsibly and ethically
For new online students beginning Semester 1 and Yearlong courses after September 30, the orientation needs to be completed before they begin their online courses. All courses begin on Wednesdays.
This orientation course is also recommended for returning online learning students and remains available for all-students throughout the year to refer back to.

Full-time Online Students
Learning full-time online means you are actively residing in Saskatchewan and taking all your courses with Sask DLC. Registration for full-time online students (K-12 and adult learners) for the 2026-27 school year is open.
Part-time Online Students
High school students (Grades 10-12) across Saskatchewan are able to register with Sask DLC, to take one or more online classes from our high school course list. Registration for part-time online students is open.
Summer School
High school students across Saskatchewan are eligible to take Summer School classes with Sask DLC at a cost of $500 per course. Summer School registration opens May 1.
