In this course, you will be introduced to the basic concepts of baseball. You will explore the basic elements and rules of baseball, demonstrate individual and team skills and examine baseball strategies and how to analyze baseball skills.
You will examine the importance of basic training, conditioning, nutrition and mental wellness in developing an athlete.
You will learn about game strategy and tactics, individual and team goal setting, leadership and team building, sportsmanship and fair play.
You will also have the opportunity to explore pathways to play baseball beyond high school.
While taking this course, it is a benefit to have access to a baseball coach or other knowledgeable mentor that can provide feedback, but this is not required.
