The Special Project Credit course honours learning and skill development that occur in a student’s life through a multitude of programs and experiences (i.e. clubs, sports, training). This unique credit is individualized, designed by the student, and overseen by a qualified project mentor (typically a coach or instructor) and a designated Sask DLC supervising teacher.
**Note: This credit is available to full-time online Sask DLC students only. Part-time students should contact their local school to access these credits.
The Special Project Credit’s (SPC) course reflect learning and skill development that occur in a student’s life through a multitude of programs and experiences (i.e. clubs, sports, training, etc.). This unique credit is individualized and designed by the student and overseen by a qualified project mentor (typically a coach or instructor) and a designated teacher mentor.
SPC proposals must be written by the student, submitted and approved by Sask DLC prior to beginning the learning.
SPCs must have content that is distinct from any other course offered at the school.
SPCs must be started and completed while enrolled at Sask DLC. Partially completed SPCs will not be considered for continuation from other educational organizations.
Project mentors must be trained and qualified in the area to be studied.
A final reflective activity will be completed by the student to demonstrate learning. If you are interested in working towards a SPC at a 10, 20, or 30 level, please contact your Academic Advisor or Campus Principal with questions and to receive the student information package.
