Chemistry 30 (Dual Credit with Athabasca University)

Chemistry 30 (Dual Credit with Athabasca University) builds a strong foundation in advanced chemical concepts and problem-solving skills. In this course, students will learn to name chemical compounds and interpret formulas, solve stoichiometry problems and explore the properties of gases through gas law calculations.

Since this course is offered directly from Athabasca University and not Sask DLC, there is a different registration process.

  1. Students interested in registering for this course must read the course description and understand the fees associated with it by clicking the above link.

  2. If you intend on taking this course, it is important that you speak with your high school Career Guidance Counselor / Principal or Sask DLC Academic Advisor. They will assist you with the Sask DLC registration process to ensure your high school credit is properly awarded.

  3. Once we receive your registration information a Sask DLC teacher will contact you via email with instructions on registering directly with Athabasca University.

  4. Once the student registers and pays for the course with Athabasca University, they will send the student information (by email) with course access.

  5. Once the student has successfully completed the course, proof of completion will need to be provided to the Sask DLC liaison teacher to receive high school credit.
