Baseball Skills 30L

Baseball Skills 30L is designed to engage students in advanced baseball concepts. Students will examine how the rules and analytics of baseball have evolved over time, as well as the impact baseball has on various cultures. Students will explore the non-playing careers within the game including coaching, umpiring, recruiting and broadcasting.

Baseball Skills 30L is only available in Semester 2.

What Will I Learn?

  • Students will examine elite levels skills and techniques in fielding, hitting and pitching as well as drills to assist in attaining high-level performance. They will also investigate the advanced coaching strategies surrounding offence, defense, pitching, hitting and game decisions.

  • Students will advance their knowledge of self-care, sportsmanship, team building and leadership.

  • Students will benefit from access to a baseball coach or another knowledgeable mentor that provide feedback to them, but this is not required.

  • The course includes videos and resources created in partnership with Going Yard Baseball Academy based in Saskatoon.
