Students will explore the nature of equilibrium in chemical reactions including solution chemistry and acid-base reactions as well as explore oxidation-reduction reactions and the impact of electrochemistry on society and the environment.
Check out Sask DLC's Science pathways.
Students have the option to enroll in the Chemistry 30 live broadcast synchronous course OR the Chemistry 30 online asynchronous course.
Live broadcast synchronous: students attend a live broadcast class at a specific time, every school day. If you're interested in enrolling in the Chemistry 30 synchronous course, please review the live broadcast details and schedule.
Online asynchronous: students can take Chemistry 30 anywhere, anytime.
Review of basic chemistry concepts
Bonding and material properties
Organic chemistry
Solubility and solutions
Equilibrium
Acids and bases: acid-base equilibria
Redox reactions
This course requires a midterm and a final exam to be supervised by a proctor
What is a proctor?Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre provides Kindergarten to Grade 12 courses to Saskatchewan students who choose to study online. We empower students and families to choose the learning environment that works best for them, while supporting their graduation plan.
