Ag Production Cow/Calf 10 introduces students to farmyard operations and setup, cattle care and production, mental health awareness and the design of livestock facilities.
Access to cattle and livestock facilities is required.
Students may choose to take either Cow/Calf or Equine studies to earn this credit, but not both.
Students will learn about health and safety, fire prevention, cattle behaviour, operation of stock handling equipment, animal physiology and anatomy, cattle disorders, and operation of farm tractors.
The course consists of:
30-40 assignments

video demonstration of learned skills
Due to the seasonal nature of this course, we suggest that students who register for Semester 1 allow all year to complete the course.
