Driver Education

Sask DLC offers Driver Education twice per year - once in the fall and once in the spring. You will receive 30 hours of live, online instruction and six hours of practice driving with a certified SGI-approved driving instructor in your area. If you have already turned 16, you have the option to pay for private lessons directly with a driving school, which includes six hours of in-class instruction and six hours of practice driving.

What Will I Learn?

How does Driver Education work for Sask DLC students?

Sask DLC Driver Education is a 30-hour, live broadcast, online non-credit class that is offered to full-time Sask DLC students free of charge. Following successful completion of the course, students obtain their Learner Driver Permit by completing six hours of in-car practice driving with an instructor in their area.

If you have already turned 16, you also have the option to pay for private lessons directly with a driving school, which includes six hours of in-class instruction and six hours of practice driving. Students may also choose to access Driver Education through their local school. Contact your local school directly for more information and availability.
