You will examine ecosystems, biodiversity, air quality, climate change, population growth, resource management and pollution focusing on both local and global perspectives. You will investigate environmental challenges and explore strategies and technologies to address these issues.
You will learn how to examine environmental issues such as climate change, water, soil, air quality, urbanization, bioresource management, waste handling and disposal, land-use planning, and the impacts of agriculture and industry on the environment from scientific and Indigenous knowledge perspectives.
You will understand how an ecosystem functions, and why humans are dependent on terrestrial and aquatic systems for resources.
You will investigate environmental challenges, sustainability and explore strategies and technologies to address these issues.
