What Will I Learn?

Sask DLC courses are created specifically for students learning in an online environment. Lesson plans, course notes, reading materials, instructional videos and assessment tools are developed by Sask DLC teachers to work specifically for online learning students.

  • Fully funded K-12 education

  • Ministry approved curriculum

  • Taught by certified Saskatchewan teachers

  • Available to students, no matter where they live in Saskatchewan

  • Grade 7-9 Courses: ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health, Art, Physical Education and PAA

Online Live Class OR Asynchronous Course

Students and families have the option to enroll in the online synchronous live class OR the online asynchronous course.

  • Synchronous Live Class: students are provided teacher led education online. Students will be online with the teacher and their class for three periods a day.

  • Online asynchronous: students follow the online course content and provided resource materials. Teachers offer weekly live meetings to support learning and are available throughout the school day for support.

Parent or Learning Mentor Responsibilities

  • Monitor students daily and assist with timely submission of assignments

  • Maintain weekly progress by scheduling work time based on course outline

  • Communicate with students teacher(s) and school administration by email or phone
