Hockey Skills 20L

Hockey Skills 20L provides students, who wish to pursue a variety of levels in hockey, the opportunity to develop their skills, fitness levels, mental training, and leadership skills.

Prerequisite

Student must belong to a hockey team,
have a coach willing to complete an assessment and have access to ice-time.

What Will I Learn?

  • Students will learn about factors affecting human performance such as mental training, basic anatomy, nutrition, and officiating.

  • The student and teacher can adapt this course for goalies.

  • Your coach will need to complete an evaluation early in this course and provide feedback throughout the season.

  • It is important that you get your on ice activities completed early in the season so you have avoid having to complete this work during playoffs.

  • Because this course requires you to video yourself in on ice sessions, it is very important that you manage your time effectively. Videos can be taken with a smart phone or tablet device.
