What Will I Learn?

You will be introduced to the diverse groups of Indigenous people that make up the Canadian landscape and will explore First Nations, Inuit and Métis perspectives on identity, worldview, community, kinship, governance, treaties and economies.

You will be given the opportunity to expand your existing understandings of First Nations, Inuit and Métis cultures through readings, videos, journal reflections and research assignments/projects that require critical thinking and collaboration. This course bridges culture and builds new understanding and respect for the many Indigenous cultures and peoples in Canada.
