You will learn the basics of mechanics beginning with safety and small engines, as well as power tools, lubricants, tires and more.

What Will I Learn?

You will learn how to safely use tools and equipment to diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles and other small engines. You will examine combustion engines, fuel systems, carburetors, vehicle fluids, tires and wheels and more.

You will also explore career paths and apprenticeship opportunities in the industry.

As part of this course, you are invited to attend an optional one-day Mechanical and Automotive Learning Camp held in-person at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

In this full online theory course, you will summarize your learning in a final project. If you are interested in getting hands-on experience at a local dealership, learn more about our work placement course here.
