This course consists of:
50 hours of online theory to be completed from September to mid-November
50 hours of a work placement which consists of:
40 to 50 hours of a work placement at a local ag equipment dealership to be completed from mid-November to the end of the semester. Sask DLC will coordinate the work placement.
Optional Boot Camp at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Saskatoon (typically held in December).
If you choose not to attend the Boot Camp, you simply complete all 50 hours at the work placement.
Given the seasonal nature of the ag industry, this course is only offered in Semester 1.
Sask DLC will arrange for a work placement location, supervision and site safety. All students, parents and mentors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with our work place policy.
