This course is a comprehensive introduction to foundational concepts in physics. You will study how and why objects move in both straight and circular paths.
You will learn about conservation laws, analyze collisions between objects and work with electric and magnetic fields. You will be introduced to the fields of quantum mechanics, Einstein’s theory of relativity, nuclear physics and radioactivity.
You can learn more about Sask DLC's Science pathways here.
You have the option to enroll in the Physics 30 synchronous live class course OR the online asynchronous course.
Synchronous Live Class: you attend a live online class taught by your teacher at a specific time, every school day. If you're interested in enrolling in the Physics 30 synchronous course, please review the synchronous live class details and schedule.
Online Asynchronous: you work through your online course on a flexible learning schedule, with online support from your teacher.

"Last semester, I took Physics 30 through Sask DLC, and it was a great experience. Sask DLC is fantastic for providing opportunities for students in rural schools where certain courses may not be available. Having taken multiple courses through Sask DLC, I’ve become a strong advocate for their live courses....having access to courses not offered at my school is a huge benefit."
Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre provides Kindergarten to Grade 12 courses to Saskatchewan students who choose to study online. We empower students and families to choose the learning environment that works best for them, while supporting their graduation plan.
