You will be introduced to the five sectors with the tourism industry, highlighting their impact on local communities and the province. Emphasis is placed on sustainable practices, quality customer service and professionalism, laying the groundwork for further exploration in Tourism 20 and 30 work placement courses.

What Will I Learn?

Tourism 10 is an introduction to the five tourism sectors:

  • food and beverage

  • accommodation

  • recreation and entertainment

  • transportation

  • travel services

You will explore the impact the tourism industry has within our province and learn the skills needed to succeed in the industry, including providing quality customer service. You will also have the opportunity to explore potential career paths in the industry.

You can also participate in an optional one-day Think Tourism event hosted by Tourism Saskatchewan.
