You will be introduced to the basic skills needed in the welding industry and will study various hand tools and power tools, techniques and career opportunities within the field. Personal and workplace safety is an emphasis throughout the course.

What Will I Learn?

You will learn various welding techniques used in the industry, how iron and steel are produced, how to make accurate measurements and the essentials of working safely.

You will learn about how to identify and use hand and power tools.

You will also have the opportunity to explore career and apprenticeship options in welding.
